DVM (practice limited to surgery)
The Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle is excited to announce the addition of Kerith Lacassagne, DVM to our surgery team. Dr. Lacassagne earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lacassagne practiced as an associate veterinarian at Durango Animal Hospital in Las Vegas from 2007-2011. From there she decided to begin pursing her passion for surgery. Dr. Lacassagne completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center and then continued her path to becoming a surgeon by completing two small animal surgery internships at VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, CT, and VCA Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers, NY, respectively. Dr. Lacassagne then completed her Small Animal Surgery Residency at VCA Animal Specialty Center before joining the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle surgery department in August 2017.
Although she loves all aspects of surgery, Dr. Lacassagne is especially interested in soft tissue surgery with an emphasis in surgical oncology and emergency surgery as well as minimally invasive soft tissue surgery and general orthopedic and neurologic surgery. Dr. Lacassagne, her husband, their Siberian Husky mix (Kaia) and black cat (Troy) are all excited to be a part of the Pacific Northwest. In her free time, Dr. Lacassagne likes to hike, camp, travel and read.
