Shawn McVey, MA, MSW

Shawn is the Chief Cultural Officer at VGP and takes tremendous pride in helping practices define their culture through his dynamic emotional intelligence and conflict management trainings.  Through his no-nonsense approach he will put into words things you may have been feeling for a while. His education and experience in psychology, social work, and therapy have been the secret sauce that allows him to tap into the root of practice conflict and bringing it to the surface. His emotional intelligence expertise will give you the tools to acknowledge and solve these problems, creating a culture of belonging, inclusion, and safety.

Julia Behr, CVPM

Julia is the Director of Coaching Operations at VGP.  She started in this industry because of her love of animals but quickly realized her passion is the people in the veterinary industry. YOU! The owners, managers, and employees that work tirelessly to provide the best care for your clients, patients, and each other. Julia finds so much joy in collaborating to help veterinary hospitals realize their vision and overcome their obstacles, both as a team and as an individual leader!  Leadership is an area of management that thrives when you are focused on continual improvement.   Julia also encourages finding new ways to help support people to discover their own abilities.  By focusing on employee engagement, motivation, and emotionally intelligent communication & feedback, our industry will better support our teams leading to improved patient care, client care, and employee retention.

Rachel Teichberg, CVPM

Rachel, the Manager of Coaching Operations, has worked in both general and specialty practices and though she has a deep love for pets, she has found her true passion is working with the people in veterinary medicine. With a constant thirst for knowledge, Rachel is always trying to find new ideas and innovative solutions that can help practice teams communicate effectively and run most efficiently. Over the years, she has found that inventory management is often the Achilles heel for many practices. Ever the inventory enthusiast, Rachel will walk you through the steps to get your inventory organized to help make the most of your shelf, ensure you have what you need, eliminate what you don’t, and increase your bottom line.
